RWO engineers new Cameron Hall Homes’ work

Newcastle-based engineers RWO has won major work to support the development of dozens of new residential homes and a commercial centre at Wynyard Village near Stockton-on-Tees.

The undisclosed deal has seen the firm provide civil engineering and structural design services and expertise to Cameron Hall Homes, which is currently underway on a 13.9-hectare plot of land at Stoney Wood, developing a mix of 76 two, three, four and five bedroomed homes as part of phase I.

Another 81 homes are set to follow in phase II when planning is approved.

Supporting its own geoenvironmental department, which has completed some challenging ground work, pre-planning, flood risk analysis, design expertise and local authority sewage adoption agreements are all part of a comprehensive package of support provided by the rapidly growing engineering firm.

The development of a new commercial centre in Wynyard Village, which will feature 12 units including two 2-storey units and will be available to lease by local businesses, is also being supported by RWO, with work on this 175 sq. m facility expected to start in early 2026 and completion to follow later in the year.

The Cameron Hall Homes project follows continued strong growth for RWO, which currently employs 41 people and is targeting revenues of £4.4m in FY2026 with a strong pipeline of work in the data centre, energy and infrastructure sectors contributing to sustainable growth.

The Seaton Burn-based firm is seeing strong growth and recruiting skilled engineers to meet demand for its services across all its offices, which includes a geotechnical department based in Stokesley.
