Saks salon marks 20th anniversary with three peaks charity walk

Saks at Sedbury Hall, near Scotch Corner, celebrates its 20th anniversary this month and three members of the team are marking the occasion by attempting the Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for The Eve Appeal.

Salon owner, Anna Clinton, Laura Porter, Charlotte Southall and their husbands Paul, Chris and Stuart (respectively), will be taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge on Sunday 20th August.

All money raised will go to Saks’ nominated charity, The Eve Appeal, the only UK national charity raising awareness and funding research into the five gynaecological cancers.

The Saks Sedbury team will also be celebrating in the salon by cracking open the bubbly and giving a special birthday gift to each client visiting in its birthday week (week commencing 14th August). They’re also giving away a variety of prizes on the “Saks Scotch Corner at the Stables Sedbury Hall” Facebook page.

Anna’s Saks Sedbury salon is one of the top 4 fundraising salons in the Saks group, which has chosen The Eve Appeal as its nominated charity. Saks Sedbury has so far raised over £4500 having taken part in a wide range of events including afternoon teas, designer clothes sales, half marathons and charity auctions. They’re hoping to hit £5500.

Later in the Summer, Anna’s team will also be taking heading to Marbella to celebrate the 20 year anniversary.

Anna Clinton, who took over the salon in 2002, says: “I’ve owned the salon for 15 years and can’t believe how fast time has gone and can’t imagine how many clients’ hair we’ve cut and coloured in that time! We’ve got a fabulous team here, all dedicated to raising money for The Eve Appeal by taking in part in so many different fundraising events and we’re looking forward to tackling the Three Peaks.”
