KAPOW, one of the highlights of Stockton Town Centre’s specialist markets programme, made a successful return to the town on Saturday (10 June).
Sci-fi fans of all ages were blown away by the exciting array of features and activities on offer including a wizard school, wand-making workshop, Daleks, superheroes and storm troopers – not to forget an amazing ten foot high animatronic dragon!
The market was also a delight for collectors with traders selling a range of sci-fi, TV and film related toys, action figures and collectables.
Along with the chance to snap up collectables, families and visitors of all ages enjoyed a packed day of displays and workshops all while enjoying the sweet treats on offer.
The crowds were also out in force to take in talks by Katy Manning, who played Jo Grant to Jon Pertwee’s Doctor Who, and by Gary Pollard, whose acclaimed models have been used in blockbusters such as Star Wars, Harry Potter and Little Shop of Horrors.
The Kapow market is ran in partnership between Stockton BID, Wellington Square and Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
