THOSE who died in the First World War and are buried at a Middlesbrough cemetery will be remembered at a special service next month.
The ceremony at Linthorpe Ceremony on Saturday, June 6 will see the consecration of a roll of honour commemorating the WW1 service personnel laid to rest at the graveyard.
The service has been arranged by the Friends of Linthorpe Cemetery and Nature Reserve and will be conducted by the Rev Tessa Stephens.
Also attending the service will be a bugler and standard bearers from the Joint Service Unit of The Royal British Legion, as well as representatives from Middlesbrough Council.
All are invited to attend and to partake in refreshments in the Hebrew Prayer House afterwards.
The service will take place from 1pm at the Cross of Sacrifice in the Cemetery and those wishing to attend the event are asked to arrive no later than 12.45pm.
