SCORES of families are settling in to their first Christmas in their new homes thanks to a successful 12 months of sales at a popular North East housing development.
The Acorns, Spennymoor, has sold more than 90 per cent of its plots, leaving just seven remaining for festive house hunters.
The development, which is being built by Maple Oak Homes, has proved popular with first time buyers and young families thanks to its great transport and close proximity to Durham city centre.
Grace Mackay, on behalf of Maple Oak Homes, said: “It’s a great feeling knowing our development will be full of happy families this Christmas.
“It’s been a successful year with demand for new build properties in the area continuing to rise and first time buyers taking advantage of initiatives such as the Help to Buy scheme.”
And to help even more families find their new home, The Acorns has launched its’ 12 Days of Christmas offer, giving prospective buyers who visit its show homes the chance to win one of 12 different incentives.
Each day a new incentive will be revealed – including shopping vouchers, free home upgrades and up to £2,500 in cash discounts.
Prospective buyers who visit The Acorns’ show homes and register their details on that day will get their prize when they go on to buy a home at the development.
Grace added: “Buying a home is an exciting time – and we hope these little extras will help make it extra special.”
“There’s never been a better time to buy a home at The Acorns, with an established community already in place waiting for their final neighbours to arrive.”
