Stokesley’s award-winning business networking group is back for the autumns-winter months.

Thirsty Thursday has become an increasingly popular event for businesses from Stokesley and its surrounding area, who meet share ideas and do business together. Held at The Mill pub in Stokesley, the group has been running for four years and was recently joined by NatWest’s Chris Gibson to showcase some of the community and business banking opportunities in the area.

Event organiser, Sue Thompson of Catch Design Management based in Stokesley, was also in celebratory mood after receiving a nomination at the Hambleton District Awards for the Market Town Ambassador award.

Thirsty Thursday will continue on a monthly basis at The Mill and is a free event for businesses from Stokesley and surrounding villages to attend. The group is always well attended and supported by the Business and Economy team at Hambleton District Council who have provide a grant to promote and support the group in the past.

Sue Thompson said: “It is great to be back after a little summer break, and everyone seems really ethusiastic to see one another and find out all of the news from Stokesley’s prominent businesses. We’ve got some great speakers coming up and lots of new businesses joining us too.”
