THERE is a treat in store for James Taylor fans when tribute duo Sweet Baby James perform a must-see retrospective at Middlesbrough Town Hall next month (November 7).
Brian Dales (guitar/voice) and Jon Chamberlain (keyboards) bring their own flair and sensitivity to the music while staying faithful to Taylor’s powerful, soulful blend of folk, pop and blues.
A set list covering the singer-songwriter’s entire back catalogue includes classics such as Fire and Rain, Shower The People, You’ve Got A Friend, Carolina In My Mind, Sweet Baby James and many more.
Taylor is one of the most influential figures in popular music over the last half-century, with multiple hits spanning more 30 years and in dozens of countries worldwide.
His Greatest Hits album is the biggest ever selling folk album, selling 20 million copies and going five times platinum.
Also appearing is Teesside based singer-songwriter Pete Davies who will be performing songs from his newly released CD, Long Way Home. Pete’s reputation as a songwriter continues to grow.
