ELDERLY residents at a Middlesbrough care home were treated to games, hand massages and nail painting by a local community initiative.
A group from the Islamic Diversity Centre (IDC) North East visited The Gables Care Home, on Highfield Road, as part of their elderly care project.
Naaila Rehman, from the IDC, said: “I want to thank the residents and staff for the opportunity to visit The Gables.
“The team of girls that came with me thoroughly enjoyed the visit and spending time with the residents and we hope they enjoyed it too.”
The group is planning to organise further activities for residents at the home. Chris Churchill, Manager at The Gables Care Home, said: “The residents thoroughly enjoyed the visit from the IDC group and had a great time playing games and engaging in conversation. We’d like to thank them for giving up their time.”
