Born out of a desire to tackle ‘greenwashing’ in a space that is rife with misinformation, ethical industry leader Lucy Kebbell, is set to launch a new sustainably minded membership platform to educate, connect and amplify meaningful voices.

The WIP, which is soon to launch on crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, is dedicated to growing and nurturing brands and companies that are leading the way to a greener future. In a sea of ethical confusion, it aims to deliver calm in the eye of the storm.

Founder Lucy Kebbell explains where the concept came from and why it is sorely needed:

The What

The WIP is the definitive space to cultivate ideas together and make change for a world you want to work – and live – in. Designed specifically for founders, designers and entrepreneurs in the sustainability niche, The WIP is a membership platform dedicated to growing and nurturing brands and companies that are leading the way to a greener future.

The How

The WIP will provide members with a ready made community of like minded peers, all looking to work hard and grow their businesses. It’s a place where people can share problems, solutions, innovations and resources in an effort to make the most of what we already have. A curated library of classes, resources, access to business experts, webinars and panel discussions, enable members to learn in their own time and at their own pace. The WIP will be a home for all, regardless of budget, ability or background, seeking to democratise information and opening the door to knowledge for those who didn’t come from a design or MBA background. For those that have pivoted and found themselves in the sustainability arena, it is a warm and friendly place, full of people who want to lift each other up.

The Why

“As the Founder of The Vendeur, I have been connecting creatives and innovators in order to help businesses grow. During the first lockdown, concerned for the future of these brands, I began offering free advice and webinars to people in my network. The WIP grew out of this small but dedicated group of innovators and became a home for them. A home where ideas could be shared in a circular economy and people could find like minded collaborators.

Because collective work can progress systems for the better – on a personal and planetary level.”

The WIP will launch following a Kickstarter campaign to pre-sell memberships and raise awareness. Between the end of the Kickstarter and the official launch of the platform, there will be a waiting list where prospective members can sign up for exclusive opportunities.
