Thirteen has secured £1.855 million from the Homes and Communities Agency’s (HCA) Estate Regeneration Fund to kick-start the regeneration of Tees Valley estates and deliver hundreds of new homes.
Both Stockton and Middlesbrough Estates, Victoria and Grove Hill will benefit from £505k each to help speed up the building of new homes in their early stages with £430k going to Hartlepool for the Raby Estate and Hartlepool Hospital. A further £490k has also been allocated to quicken the regeneration of a number of Thirteen’s tower blocks.
This funding will help address problems that hold up projects and encourage good design to ensure high-quality regeneration.
Ian Wardle, chief executive at Thirteen, said:
“We are delighted to have secured this funding from the Estate Regeneration Fund.
“Although there are no firm plans in place, the funding will support pre-development feasibility, including community consultation and engagement.
“It will allow us to build modern, high-quality new homes quickly in locations across the Tees Valley.”
