Institution of Civil Engineers, ICE, North East is hosting a ‘meet and mingle’ event on the 24 June 2019 at Newcastle Arts Centre for International Women in Engineering Day, INWED, 2019.
The evening will include discussions in which panellists from the industry will debate topics and take questions from the audience on this year’s theme – Transform The Future.
Penny Marshall, Regional Director of ICE North East, said: “Working in a field that has been traditionally seen as male, it is disappointing and frustrating to still see gender imbalance in the industry, which I am more determined than ever to address.
“This event will provide a great forum to network and engage with engineers (male and female) from across the region.”
INWED 2019 takes place at Newcastle Arts Centre, 67 Westgate Road, Newcastle, NE1 1SG, 6pm-8pm.
The event is being delivered in collaboration with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, IMechE and the Institute of Engineering and Technology, IET.
