ONE of the North East’s newest and most popular restaurants is offering guests the opportunity to pig out at lunchtime, with the launch of a new menu.
The Impeccable Pig at Sedgefield has unveiled its new lunchtime offering, with two courses at £16.50p and three courses for £19.50p.
Starters including scallop beignets with avocado and chilli salsa and dill oil, Asian-style marinated beef salad, Norwegian prawn and lobster bisque risotto and a vegetarian option of cauliflower couscous with beetroot, blue cheese and roasted almond salad.
Main course choices include moules frites, roast chicken with beetroot gnocchi, roast pork belly with a range of veg, grilled market fish or sautéed mushroom, garlic and potato hash.
And for those who have room there’s a choice of double chocolate delice, apple tart tatin or a variety of ice creams and sorbets.
Pierre Bertolotti, general manager of The Impeccable Pig, said the menu is already proving popular.
“Although we’ve just launched it, the new menu is getting a very positive response,” he said.
“It gives regulars the opportunity to try some exciting new dishes and new customers the chance to enjoy the dining experience here, with the added bonus that we will also be changing the menu on a regular basis.”
The Impeccable Pig opened last year as a pub and restaurant with ten unique rooms, some with private hot tubs. They include The Piggly Wiggly, Pigs Might Fly and The Whole Hog, which offers a seven foot bed, a four seater hot tub and an outside sauna.
