LONDON, 13 March 2026 – White Desert, the world’s leading luxury expedition company operating in Antarctica, is partnering with INEOS Automotive, introducing the INEOS Grenadier as part of its on-ice operations at Wolf’s Fang Runway.
The partnership sees a fleet of four INEOS Grenadiers and one Quartermaster pick-up deployed in Antarctica to support guest transfers and operational logistics. The vehicles will run between Wolf’s Fang Runway and Echo Base, an area characterised by extreme cold, hidden crevasses and rapidly changing weather.
The vehicles have recently completed the journey from Cape Town to Antarctica aboard the SA Agulhas II, before being craned onto the Antarctic ice shelf and traversing inland to White Desert’s Wolf’s Fang Runway. With their ultimate capability in all conditions, straight from factory and with no modifications the 4X4s will support logistics across camp and the runway and will ensure safe and comfortable guest transportation.
The collaboration reflects a shared philosophy between the two brands: equipment must work first, especially in places where failure is not an option. For White Desert, which has operated on the continent for over 20 years, reliability and operational integrity underpin every aspect of the guest experience. In partnering with INEOS Automotive, White Desert is pairing proven equipment with disciplined logistics to deliver access to one of the most remote environments on Earth.
As part of the launch, White Desert and INEOS Automotive are producing a short film series documenting the arrival, testing and real-world use of the Grenadier in Antarctica. The opening chapter captures the transfer of vehicles from the SA Agulhas II onto the Antarctic ice shelf – a rare and uncompromising environment that few vehicles ever encounter.
Patrick Woodhead, Founder & CEO of White Desert, said: “We don’t bring anything into Antarctica unless it earns its place. The Grenadier has shown it can be trusted in extreme conditions, while still offering the kind of comfort that makes long days on the ice sustainable.”
Lynn Calder, CEO of INEOS Automotive, said: “It’s testament to our engineering and manufacturing teams that White Desert has put its faith in the Grenadier. It was designed and built precisely for the thrill of adventures and expeditions in the most remote places on the planet.”
While the vehicles have already arrived in Antarctica, the partnership will be activated during the forthcoming Antarctic season, with further content from the film series released over the coming months.
