Worcester Wolves have made a late addition to their squad with the signing of Dean Wanliss ahead of tonight’s season opener.
Wanliss comes to the Wolves from Leeds Force having averaged 9.8 points per game in a short spell at the start of the 2017-18 season.
Wanliss has been signed by the Wolves to strengthen the squad whilst they await the arrival of their final two imports. The British forward will look to bring some valuable BBL experience to the squad as he has also spent time at both Manchester Giants and Leicester Riders whilst he was at Loughborough University.
Wanliss spent his college career at Iowa State Community college and has spent much of his playing career at NBL Division 1 side Barking Abbey.
“I am looking forward to the season,” said Wanliss. “It has been such a fast process and I had my first training session as soon as I got here, but I am looking forward to what is to come and what Coach has set out for us to achieve.”
Wanliss will be available for selection at tonight’s pre-season opener against Plymouth Raiders with tickets able to be purchased online at www.worcesterwolves.org until 5pm or on the door at the University of Worcester Arena.
