28 year-old Holly has recently returned to her native city of Durham after working for Grazia magazine as their Community Editor where she was responsible for the creation of the magazine’s social media strategy and digital community engagement

Holly has joined the award-winning Newcastle agency as senior account manager for digital strategy after connecting with O’s managing director, Kari Owers via social media. Holly said: “Since moving away I have always kept an eye on the North East’s creative industry. From the high profile clients and campaign creativity to the investment in its team and agency culture, O PR has always stood out so I’m really excited to be joining.”

Prior to her time at Grazia magazine, Holly has spent six years specialising in digital media within London’s media and creative agencies. Starting out at Aegis-owned web build company de-construct and creative digital agency glue isobar, Holly focused on digital production and managing the creative process before moving to media agency Maxus to develop its creative social media offering.

Holly added; “Now I’ve gained a range of experience from SEO and analytics to digital strategy and creative production, I feel ready to join an integrated agency which specialises in all of these areas”

During her career Holly has demonstrated a passion for writing and championing women’s issues which led her to rank as a finalist for the IPA’s Women of Tomorrow Awards in 2013.

Founder Kari Owers said: “We’re delighted Holly has joined our team to take forward the fast-growing area of the business; social media and digital content strategy. Holly will be responsible for digital strategy development for clients and managing several of our national consumer PR and social media accounts.”

O Communications was launched 10 years ago and is now one of the UK’s fastest-growing integrated PR agencies with divisions spanning O PR, O digital and O creative offering a full service creative solution for clients including Dr. Martens, Primula Cheese and Northumbria University.
