Beamish based hotel and venue, South Causey Inn, have successfully raised a whopping £10,000 for 10 local charities, groups and clubs in an ode to give back to the local community and celebrate their 10th anniversary.
Stanley Deaf Club, Shield Row Toddlers Group and PACT House Stanley are amongst the 10 organisations to be donated £1000 each thanks to the fundraising efforts of the South Causey Inn team and their generous guests. £10,000 was raised to share equally amongst the 10 organisations through several fundraising events organised by the South Causey Inn team, as well as a large fundraising raffle giving entrants the chance to win a weekend away at a stunning self-catering cottage in Seahouses, Northumberland.
Susan Moiser, owner of South Causey Inn, said: “There’s simply no better way for us to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We’ve had a brilliant 10 years here and we wouldn’t be where we are today without the support of our local community and guests, so it was our absolute pleasure to give back and raise some much needed funds for 10 valued and ambitious local organisations. From all of the team at South Causey Inn, we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated and helped us reach our £10,000 fundraising total.”
The full list of local organisations who will be receiving a share of the £10,000 fundraising are: Shield Row Toddlers Group, The Activity Den, Wickham Hermitage Community Garden, Stanley Deaf Club, Dryburn Theatrical Workshop, Oxhill Youth Club, NASUWT Concert Band, The Craig Style Fighting System, Vixens Netball Club and PACT House Stanley.
