ONE of the highlights of the annual arts calendar has thrown open its doors for 2017.
The Cleveland Art Society Summer Exhibition 2017 opened on Friday (August 11) and runs to Saturday, August 26.
The Middlesbrough-based Society is the longest running art group in the region.
The annual show of wall-mounted artwork with accompanying prints and cards is now open to the public at Stokesley Town Hall.
Exhibition Secretary and contributing artist Alan Morley said: “The Summer Exhibition is a showcase of a huge range of talent and ability, and there really is something for everybody.
“We’re one of the most active and continuously existing art groups in the whole country and that’s reflected in the breadth and depth of the show.
“Once again we’ve really filled the walls – visitors are guaranteed a warm welcome and they may come away that special work of art they’ve been looking for as a gift or for themselves.
“As ever we’re enormously grateful to Stokesley Town Hall trust for hosting this big event in their spacious public upstairs hall each year.”
- The Cleveland Art Society Summer Exhibition 2017 runs until Saturday, August 26 at Stokesley Town Hall from 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday.
The show is closed on Thursdays August 17 and 24 from 10am to noon and all day on Friday, August 25.
