Screen Shot 2016-04-19 at 10.14.46North East nappy retailer, Grow Up Green, is hosting the Newcastle leg of the Great Cloth Diaper Change, a Guinness Book of Records Attempt on Saturday 23rd April.

The event is part of an international campaign by the Cloth Diaper Association in the USA. Cloth nappy users all over the world are gathering together to change babies’ nappies and break a world record.

Aggie Maxwell, event organiser, says: “This will be a fun, family occasion where people can raise awareness of cloth nappy usage, break a world record, meet like- minded families and have fun!”

The Newcastle event will take place at Broadacre House, Market St, Newcastle. Participants can arrive from 10amand there will be stalls to browse and entertainment for the little ones provided by Tiny Talk and the Jaminals, until the change takes place at 11am.

Aggie continues; “Lots of national nappy companies and local child-related businesses have donated raffle prizes for the event and each participant will receive a goody bag with lovely goodies and special offers in.”

The event needs 25 people to count towards the Guinness total, but there are already 34 people registered to come and more expressing an interest each day.
