North East businesses are being invited to take part in a free online event designed to help them prepare their employees for coming back to work.
Hay & Kilner Law Firm’s specialist employment team is hosting a ‘Lifting The Lockdown’ lunchtime seminar via Zoom on Wednesday 10 June to help owner/managers address issues that could or will arise as the lockdown loosens and more businesses begin to reopen.
Topics under discussion will include ending furlough leave, how to deal with employees who are reluctant to/refuse to return, staff consultation, flexible ways of working and how to manage health and safety issues.
Participants will also be able to submit questions in advance relating to their own individual situations for the expert Hay & Kilner team to assess and answer.
The event is being held in association with management development consultants Weightman Associates, with CEO John Grant speaking on how owner/managers can have proactive and positive discussions with their employees about returning to work which help to give them the support and confidence they need to do so.

“Our aim with this event is to explore the practical issues that companies are facing, examine their different options and responsibilities, and provide insight into the different types of solutions that they could look at for managing their own particular situation.”
