GORDON Brown Law Firm LLP’s (GBLF) annual Charity Fashion Show and Lunch is set to make a stylish return next month as it makes its debut at one of Tyneside’s newest venues.

The annual event, which will be hosted at YOLO Townhouse from 12noon on Thursday 13 July 2017 by GBLF and Tyne Tees Models, will offer an exclusive preview of summer 2017 fashion trends in aid of The Sunshine Fund.

Amongst the models taking to the runway in the latest collections from intu Eldon Square and intu Metrocentre will be two North East mums who have first-hand experience of the essential support provided to families by The Sunshine Fund.

Founded in 1928, The Sunshine Fund offers specialised equipment to children with disabilities in the North East of England. The charity also provides help to individuals, groups, registered organisations, special and mainstream schools and hospitals to improve the lives of children with disabilities

Caroll Pattison, Sunshine Fund director, said: “Thank you so much to Gordon Brown Law Firm for organising another of their fabulous fashion shows for The Sunshine Fund. It is such a super fun event, a one that lots of local ladies like to be seen at. It also gives two of our Sunshine Mams the opportunity to get pampered, dressed up and experience being a model for a day which is priceless.

“Thank you also to Tyne Tees Models, intu and YOLO Townhouse who are also supporting the event.  We really appreciate all the support we receive from Gordon Brown Law Firm throughout the year and hope this event will be a huge success which will enable us to buy more specialist equipment for local disabled children.”

Tickets for the event are £30 each and include a two-course meal and a glass of prosecco on arrival, with all proceeds raised being donated to The Sunshine Fund.

A charity raffle will also offer guests the chance to walk away with a selection of prizes including a short break in Edinburgh staying in the St James Residence, an exclusive Edinburgh Hideaways luxury five-star apartment, as well as shopping vouchers courtesy of intu.

Amy Whyte, business development manager at GBLF, said: “Now in its fourth year the show has grown from strength-to-strength and we have been thrilled with its success. Since its launch, the event has raised over £15,000 for a truly fantastic cause and we are excited to add to this total as we host this year’s event at one of Newcastle’s most stunning venues.

“We have been working hard alongside Tyne Tees Models, YOLO Townhouse and intu over recent months to ensure this is another fabulous event. We can’t think of a better way to start the holiday season than celebrating summer fashions in the elegance of YOLO Townhouse. Hopefully we’ll top last year’s total and raise even more money for this great cause.”

Taking place at YOLO Townhouse, a stylish new venue set over three floors on High Bridge, on Thursday 13 July 2017 GBLF’s Fashion Show and Lunch will start at 12noon.

Nigel Holliday, Danieli Holdings’ business development director, added: “The Sunshine Fund is making a huge difference to the lives of many families across the North East and we were thrilled to be asked by GBLF to be involved in this year’s event. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to YOLO Townhouse while helping to raise lots of much-needed funds to ensure as many children as possible are able to benefit from The Sunshine Fund’s work.”

Lesley Middlemiss Lister, Tyne Tees Models’ founder and managing director, said: “Tyne Tees Models is absolutely thrilled to be working with Gordon Brown Law Firm on this Charity Fashion Show and Lunch in aid of The Sunshine Fund. YOLO Townhouse has a delicious menu in store for us and Intu will be presenting some of their upcoming trends on the runway. With fantastic raffle prizes to win, this is certainly one afternoon lunch you ladies don’t want to miss. I look forward to seeing you there.”
