A game of football but with a difference has kicked off in Northallerton
Walking Football’ is at is sounds – a standard game of football where participants walk instead of run!
Taster sessions have been taking place to gauge interest for this new initiative which is being delivered in partnership by Hambleton District Council and Age UK.
“The activity has proved to be a great success so far,” said Councillor Mrs Bridget Fortune, portfolio holder for Leisure, pictured playing.
“It is a great way for people to have fun, make new friends and be active.”
Another taster session is taking place on 21 August at Hambleton Leisure Centre from 4 – 5pm and then an eight week course is starting in September.
