The Active Newcastle website will be sporting a new look from today after undergoing a major redesign.

After listening to feedback from its users, the new website has been redesigned to help navigate the site easier.

It still lists all the great activities and sessions but you can now find them all in one easy place including activities that are being delivered by other organisations.

The website has hints and tips to encourage people to get active and try new activities and sports, as well as links to all the great apps and resources on the internet.

You can also talk directly to the Active Newcastle team and get answers to any questions you have on fitness, health and all the different activities.

Cllr Kim McGuinness, Cabinet Member Culture, Communities and Sport said “Our Active Newcastle programme has been helping residents get fitter and healthier by providing great fitness sessions around the city for a number of years now.

“The new, improved Active Newcastle website is the next step, we know our residents use the internet for advice and information on healthy lifestyles. Active Newcastle is now better equipped to help with that. The new website is easy to navigate so residents can hopefully find what they’re looking for with ease. We hope residents find it useful. There are so many great activities taking place across the city and we want to make it as easy as possible for residents to get involved.”

We’d still like to hear people’s thoughts on the new website so please email us activenewcastle@newcastle.gov.uk with any feedback.
