NORTH EAST fans of the late, great George Michael can relive his greatest solo and Wham! hits at an annual charity event.
Organisers of the Lobster Ball, held at Hardwick Hall Hotel, Sedgefield, have announced that George Michael tribute, Rob Lamberti, will join the line-up at the popular fundraising event, which takes place on Friday 17 May.
And Rob, who has performed as the singer for several decades, is popular not only for his vocal ability, but also his physical likeness to the singer, with the Evening Standard even recently mistaking an image of Rob for the man himself.
He has made several TV appearances as the Wham! star, including ITV’s Stars in Their Eyes and more recently, BBC’s Even Better Than The Real Thing, which showcased the best tribute acts in the UK.
Guests at the ball, which raises money for Daisy Chain to help families affected by autism, will also enjoy performances from headline act, The Bootleg Beatles, and vocalist, Diane Shaw.
Tickets for the event cost £145pp and includes a four course lobster surf and turf menu, created by the award-winning chefs from the Rib Room Steakhouse & Grill.
And diners will also receive a bottle of wine per person, with complimentary lager and beer all evening.
John Adamson, managing director of Hardwick Hall Hotel, is delighted to have Rob join the line-up.
“We are always on the lookout for top-class acts to entertain our diners at the ball and Rob Lamberti is a fantastic performer who we are thrilled to add to the event,” said John.
“The Lobster Ball is known for attracting amazing performers and this year is certainly going to be no different.”
