Get ready for a vibrant celebration of local creativity and community as two exciting events bring together the best of North East makers and performers in support of Pride in Tees Valley 2025!

Presented by Teesside-based LGBTQIA+ arts charity Curious Arts, the events will shine a spotlight on incredible local talent while supporting the return of Cleveland Pride and Hartlepool Pride this summer.

On Saturday 10th May, Saltburn Arts will host a Makers Market as part of Saltburn Farmers’ Market, featuring handpicked makers selling unique, handmade goods from 12pm–4pm. Developed in partnership with local creative Fuzzy Bosom, this free market celebrates the best of North East creativity while raising awareness and funds for Cleveland Pride 2025, taking place on Sunday 6th July.

Fuzzy Bosom curates inclusive and fabulous markets and bespoke events across the North East of England.

Then on Friday 23rd May, the excitement continues in Hartlepool with another Fuzzy Bosom Makers Market at The Northern School of Art. From 5.00pm – 9.00pm, browse a brilliant selection of handcrafted wares. Whether you’re looking to treat yourself, find the perfect gift, or simply soak up the creative atmosphere, the Makers Market offers a fantastic opportunity to support local talent and Hartlepool Pride.

As an added bonus, the first 20 people to arrive at each market will receive a free goodie bag so don’t miss out!

These events mark the beginning of an exciting summer of Pride across the Tees Valley, with upcoming events including:

  • Hartlepool Pride – Saturday 5th July
  • Cleveland Pride – Sunday 6th July
  • Stockton Pride – Saturday 26th July
  • Darlington Pride Weekender (led by Darlington Borough Council) 9th – 11th August
  • Middlesbrough Pride – Saturday 27th September

Each Pride is developed in partnership with local Community Pride Planning Groups through the Pride In Tees Valley programme, creating inclusive, community-led celebrations that reflect the heart of each area.

So whether you’re browsing for something handmade, enjoying a night of cabaret, or just looking to support LGBTQIA+ joy, these events are the perfect way to get involved.
