NORTH EAST festival goers are counting down the minutes to this weekend, as a leading live music event returns.
Hardwick Hall at Sedgefield, County Durham will play host to Hardwick Live on Saturday 19 August, as the popular festival returns with an impressive line-up of high profile acts.
Headlining this year’s show are 90s favourites Ocean Colour Scene with special guest and The Libertines frontman Pete Doherty joined across the day by top stars, including Buzzcocks, Soul II Soul, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Gabrielle, and the Brand New Heavies.
The Hardwick Live event will also include a timely performance by acclaimed tribute act The Bootleg Beatles, to mark the 50th anniversary of the release of Sgt Pepper album.
There will be three different music venues across the weekend to host the acts including the Main Stage, the Discovery Stage and the Dome Tent.
On Saturday 19 August, the main stage will play host to hour-sets from Soul II Soul at 3.20pm, The Buzzcocks at 4.50pm, Fun Lovin’ Criminals at 6.20pm and Pete Doherty at 7.45pm. Headliners Ocean Colour Scene will then end the festival with a set from 9.15pm to 10.45pm.
Across at the Discovery Stage, other top acts will be performing throughout the day including The Sherlocks at 6.30pm, Gabrielle at 7.35pm and the Brand New Heavies from 8.30pm.
As well as the big name crowd pleasers, Hardwick Live will feature a number of up-and-coming acts from the region and across the UK, along with a number of DJs and comedians.
