Analox have become the proud sponsors of local netball team, The Harewood Ladies. The team of local lasses from Thornaby, Ingleby Barwick and Middlesbrough play matches against other local teams in the Teesside Netball League.
After sharing her enthusiasm for the sport with her colleagues, Becca Dodds, Sales Manager for Asia Pacific, Brazil and Northern Europe, put the request forward to the business for sponsorship. Analox has a firm belief in investing in its people and the local area so agreed to be official sponsors of the team.
Not only will the Harewood Ladies be sporting their new Analox branded hoodies at their matches and training sessions, the team are also taking part in a 24-hour netball marathon, to raise money for James Cook Hospital cancer ward, a place close to the hearts of two league players, after needing to use their services for cancer treatment themselves.
The event, taking place on 25th and 26th June, will involve matches being played between teams from the league, while drinks, snacks and a tombola will be available for spectators with all proceeds going to the ward.
Becca Dodds said, “We’re over the moon that Analox have extended their support to sponsor our team, it’s really nice being part of a company which cares about it’s employees and what they’re interests are.
“The team wore their hoodies for our league match on Monday and everyone loved them, we definitely look the part! We’re looking forward to taking part in the 24-hour netball marathon, it will be a gruelling task but will definitely be worth it as the money raised is going to such a worthy cause.”
Julie Cole, HR Manager at Analox said, “As a business, Analox is committed to supporting our employees in many different ways. We firmly believe in investing in our people. We’re proud to be sponsoring the Harewood Ladies and have our logo embellished on their kit.
“Becca often updates us on how they’re doing in the league and we’ll be supporting them through their fundraising challenge. We’re already collecting donations for the tombola in the office and wish them the best of luck in June.”
