- Stand draws inspiration from Honda’s racing heritage and gives visitors the inside track

Honda UK has today unveiled its stand design for the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Drawing inspiration from its celebrated racing spirit, the Honda stand is a life size recreation of a race track grid and allows visitors to get properly inside Honda.
Situated in its usual spot over the bridge from the main house, the Honda stand will instantly capture attention, just as in previous years, with a brightly lit starting grid, a pit lane, pit garages and a grandstand all designed to showcase Honda’s rich racing pedigree.
As well as marking the silver jubilee of the Festival itself, this year is also the diamond anniversary of the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), which started in 1958. Being one of the most successful manufacturers of all time in the championship, the Halfords Yuasa Racing team will be showcasing just what goes on in a pit lane on a race weekend, with live demonstrations of wheel, bodywork and engine changes.
Alongside this, both the Honda British Superbike team and the Synchro Motorsport team from Honda’s factory in Swindon will be carrying out live demonstrations in the pit lane.
Focusing on the theme of racing, the Honda stand will feature both two and four wheeled iconic and modern racing machinery such as the 2018 Toro Rosso F1 car, the NSX GT3 and the standard road version, the 2017 and the 2018 Halfords Yuasa Racing BTCC cars, the Synchro Motorsport Civic Type R and the standard road version of the Civic Type R.
For two-wheel fans, the 2018 BSB Fireblade and the Marc Marquez RC213-V will sit alongside both the SP and the standard version of the Fireblade CBR1000RR.
