North East Connected

Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Screen Shot 2016-03-17 at 16.40.42A long-standing Teesside advertising agency has stepped in to plug a skills gap at regional cluster organisation NEPIC.

House of Type (HoT), which has over 30 years’ experience of providing marketing and design expertise to clients in the North East and beyond, has been appointed to supply all NEPIC’s graphic design requirements for the next 12 months.

The appointment, which resulted from a need to cover the maternity leave of NEPIC’s in-house designer, enables the organisation to utlise the skills of House of Type’s four graphic designers as well as the skills of the agency’s web team.

HoT MD, Dave Marshall, explained that the fact that both HoT and NEPIC are based at the Wilton Centre helped to seal the deal.

“As well as being able to provide the range of skills NEPIC needs at a high level, being neighbours in the Centre makes briefings and decision-making as convenient as it could be.

“We are really pleased with this opportunity to work with NEPIC and add another prestigious client to our list and we are looking forward to working with their team.”

NEPIC is a membership organisation working with the region’s chemical-processing sector companies to generate growth and jobs. NEPIC’s PR & Communications Manager, Louise Gwynne-Jones, commented on the company’s latest partnership.

“We are thrilled to be working with yet another NEPIC member company in support of our activities – and practicing what we preach here at the cluster by utilising our extensive network and keeping it local.

“I very much look forward to working with the team at HoT over the coming year and am excited about how together we can develop the NEPIC brand further.”

HoT relocated from central Middlesbrough to the 75 acre Redcar business and science park in the spring of 2015.

Employing nine staff, it offers a range of marketing, advertising, communication and digital services including branding, web and app design and development, social media and public relations.

As well as the services provided to NEPIC,  HoT works with a range of businesses and organisations on Teesside and across the UK including national and international brands in retail, public and private sectors, manufacturing and heavy industries such as SABIC, Johnson Matthey, Clinkards, Barker and Stonehouse, Wilton Centre, Biochemica and Medina Group.
