Improved parking facilities at Preston Park will be open to the public from March 28.

High quality, sympathetic, resurfacing work has created 252 parking spaces on the southern field behind Butterfly World.

Temporary parking bay markings will be in place throughout the Easter holidays and will be replaced with wooden markers once the holidays are over.

Meanwhile, drainage improvements at the northern overflow car park are ongoing and are expected to be completed in May.

The changes are part of an £800,000 scheme to improve car parking at Preston Park, which attracts more than 600,000 visitors every year.
