GROWING call centre Inspired Outsourcing is recruiting for 80 positions after securing a new contract with a leading energy supplier.

The Newcastle-based outsourcing centre agreed expansion plans with its existing client, Scottish Power, earlier this month and is looking to hire new sales advisors and a team manager, as well as recruiting for a number of quality support roles.

The business hopes to have taken the total number of staff working on the Scottish Power account to more than 100 by the end of 2016 and plans to continue its growth into 2017.

Kevin Hutchinson, company director at Inspired Outsourcing said, “We have already taken on a lot of new starters this year and we’re looking to take on another 34 employees before the end of September.

“This new contract is a huge deal for us and the recruitment drive we will be implementing as a result will be our biggest ever – it’s a very exciting time for us.

“We are committed to offering our clients the best service possible and regularly train our staff in the latest sales techniques to ensure we can operate as effectively as possible.

“These expansion plans are testament to our hard word and reflect our ability to deliver excellent results and customer service on behalf of our clients.”

The new roles will involve interacting with and engaging potential customers for Scottish Power, offering advice and information about their current gas and electricity supply.

Debbie Caldwell, head of outsource telesales at Scottish Power said, “We have been impressed with the way Inspired work, how they recruit and the work-life balance they offer to their employees.

“We have been extremely impressed with what Inspired Outsourcing has to offer and are excited about the future of the partnership.”

The recruitment drive comes just as the latest unemployment figures are released announcing that the number of people out of work fell by 39,000 in the three months to July, keeping the unemployment rate in the UK at 4.9%*.

Paul Crampsey, company director at Inspired Outsourcing said, “Since Inspired Outsourcing started in 2012 we have grown from 15 people and 1 client, to 200 people and 3 clients, so it’s great to see the business continue to go from strength to strength.

“A lot of our success over the last few years can be attributed to our people. They’re at the heart of our business and their hard work has played a huge part in getting Inspired to where it is today.”

Inspired Outsourcing is situated on the 5th floor of Cuthbert house in Newcastle and offers outbound call centre services to companies looking to acquire new customers and retain those it already has.
