RESIDENTS of Stockton-on-Tees who are interested in learning more about the role of the Borough’s Mayor and Mayoress can come along to a special ‘At Home’ event.
The Mayoress of Stockton-on-Tees, Linda Dixon, is inviting residents from across the Borough to join her for the event at Stockton Town Hall on Saturday 16 July.
People will be able to take a tour of Town Hall, find out about its vast and colourful history and meet the Mayor of Stockton-on-Tees, Councillor Ken Dixon and Mayoress Linda Dixon.
There will also be an opportunity to find out more about the Mayor’s charities – Bowel Cancer UK, Butterwick Hospice and Meningitis Now.
Mayor of Stockton-on-Tees Councillor Ken Dixon said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for people to come, meet us and find out more about what Linda and I do as Mayor and Mayoress for the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees. You will also be able to find out about the history of the Town Hall and the three charities which we hold dear and which we are raising money for.”
