Key appointments at cloud experts Synergi

GATESHEAD-based cloud and digital business specialist Synergi has announced a series of key appointments, including a new director level role, as it continues its growth trajectory.

Sarah Cooper joins as operations director, bringing with her a 15-year background in service and operational excellence roles in the IT industry, including spells with several of the region’s leading IT and digital companies. Sarah will play a lead role in driving continuous improvement of operational processes to ensure smooth deployment and delivery, head up the support team and grow the operations team to include new scheduling co-ordinator, project management and customer success management roles.

New marketing manager Nikki Peacock is a specialist business-to-business and retail marketer, having held senior in-house and agency-side roles. Her career includes working with high profile names in the financial services, retail and travel sectors in London and Yorkshire, including Meadowhall Shopping Centre, Freemans Grattan Holdings, and Center Parcs.  Nikki joins Synergi from a Sheffield-based business providing enterprise decision software and complex analytics, modelling and optimisation services.

Dominic Falconer takes up the role of business intelligence consultant, and has a background in data analytics, reporting and business intelligence, including six years with Northern Rock. His particular specialism is in the financial services sector, and his role is designed to support Synergi’s aim to grow its already healthy market share in this area.

Business intelligence consultant and developer Emma Pardines joins the business having moved to the region from Aberdeen last year. She brings with her a degree in Computer Science and a 12-year career as a software developer with wide-ranging experience of various software platforms, primarily working Scotland’s oil and gas sector.

Emma and Dominic join a 12-strong team of specialist consultants and developers working on various partner and custom solutions across a range of clients and industry sectors.

Synergi’s CEO Peter Joynson said: “We are of course delighted to welcome our latest group of new staff.

“These new roles are part of a long-term strategy that will see us create at least nine new jobs this year in support of a strategic growth plan which includes boosting turnover by 40%, launching a new service line and establishing a presence in two more geographical areas.

“Achieving those aims relies on recruiting people with the right talent, experience and attitude, and encouraging their career development with a supportive company culture.

“We look forward to all of our new recruits becoming real assets to the business, and playing a key part in our continuing growth.”
