A SPECIAL daytime event is set to return to a top North East hotel next month (February), offering the opportunity for fun, food – and a performance from a tv icon.
It is more than 20 years since Welsh singer, Chico, became an unexpected hit on The X Factor and since then he has continued to wow audiences across the country.
And now he is taking to the stage at Ladies Day at Hardwick Hall Hotel, where guests will be able to hear him perform his legendary It’s Chico Time along with a number of other musical numbers.
The chosen charity for Ladies Day is the Angel Trust, which supports people in need across County Durham and Darlington in a number of ways – from running a food bank to hosting advice sessions.
And currently there’s even more reason for attending the much-loved event, with tickets being offered at half price for a limited amount of time.
The event runs from 11.30am to 6pm on Sunday 22 February, with welcome bubbles, a two-course lunch and Chico’s live performance.
Hosted by Steve Walls, the afternoon will include a DJ and party games, making it an occasion not to be missed.
“Ladies Day events are always really popular and it’s a great opportunity for family, friends or colleagues to get together and let their hair down,” said Helen Attley, Sales Manager from Hardwick Hall Hotel.
“It comes with the added bonus of helping to support a really important, local charity which does some incredibly important work.
“We hope that people will come along and enjoy a really fantastic afternoon.”
