Colleagues from M&S Middlesbrough made an extra special Easter delivery this week to local charity Ageing Better Middlesbrough, providing the group with a hamper bursting with spring treats including Hot Cross Buns, chocolate eggs and other Easter goodies.
Aging Better Middlesbrough aim to help those over 50 who are feeling lonely or isolated. The charity organise events and activities ranging from arts & crafts to gardening groups and singing groups. This has also included various events at M&S Middlesbrough, including a health and wellbeing evening.
Middlesbrough is one of 10 UK communities that is part of M&S’s pilot community transformation plan, where a range of actions are being trialled to tackle the issues that matter most to local people – such as unemployment, skill shortages, loneliness, poverty, and mental health and wellbeing.
