A new Teesside company has secured a major contract with the North East’s largest business membership organisation.
Stockton-Based Prismatic Thinking specialises in improving business performance through increasing employee morale and was established in June by local entrepreneur, Tony Slimmings. Following many months of research with his team of business psychologists, Tony recognised a niche in the market to provide specific, ongoing assistance to organisations and HR departments alike with the ultimate aim of improving organisational culture, staff motivation, team working and, ultimately, customer satisfaction.
Prismatic Thinking has recently won a contract with the North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC) to provide them with its ‘Vision’ software which has been stringently developed by its in-house business psychologists to provide practical results and ongoing support in the workplace.
Around 150 members of staff at NECC have so far taken part in the survey which looks at aspects such as motivation, commitment, empowerment, satisfaction and engagement. Once the results are gathered, Prismatic will then work closely with NECC to assist with any necessary areas of development.
Prismatic Thinking’s tools can help organisations increase business performance by 30% and improve employee morale by 40% through its scientific approach to enhancing motivation. The easy-to-use Vision software assists organisations with recognising the need for the right infrastructure, effective performance management and introducing successful employee reward programmes.
NECC chose to work with Prismatic Thinking, having looked at a number of other options in the marketplace, thanks to the company’s expert business psychologists and the scientifically robust and stringently tested technology which they have spent many years developing.
David Langley, NECC chief operating officer, said: “This is part of a long-term strategy for NECC so we needed to work with a partner that really understood the organisation and our members and also what we need to achieve. The early phase has provided us with some very interesting results which we are now going to build on to help us offer an even better service for our members.”
Prismatic Thinking is based at Teesdale in Stockton and currently has a team of five. The company works in a variety of sectors including local authorities, schools and with manufacturing and engineering organisations as well as SMEs.
MD Tony Slimmings, having worked closely with many HR departments throughout his career, recognised a gap in the market for providing organisations with easy-to-use software to help them measure and improve the morale of their employees.
Tony Slimmings said: “Our Vision software is an established platform offering unfaultable technology which has been rigorously tested with dozens of pilots over a three year period. We have developed our technology to ensure that it is the very best in the marketplace and can provide ongoing support and practical advice.
“To have clinched our contract with NECC so soon after officially launching the business is a huge boost and is enabling us to grown more rapidly than we first planned. 2016 is looking extremely exciting as we’re currently working to recruit more staff and enter a variety of markets.”
