A new general manager has been appointed to lead the team at a popular North East hotel.
Rob Warren will bring more than 25 years’ experience of the industry to his new role at County Durham’s Hardwick Hall Hotel.
The former general manager at Harrogate’s The Yorkshire Hotel joins the venue following a major refurbishment.
The four-star hotel, set in County Durham’s Hardwick Country Park, is also home to the acclaimed Rib Room Steakhouse and Grill and is renowned for holding large scale balls and events, including the annual Lobster Ball, which will be held on 27 April.
“In fact, it’s the scale and diversity of the offering at Hardwick Hall Hotel that really attracted me,” said Rob, from Knaresborough.
“There is always something going on and what makes the hotel really challenging is that it achieves high standards across the board; in catering in service and in terms of its facilities.
“It will be my job to ensure we continue to meet those standards and that we make every effort to exceed them.”
John Adamson, owner of Ramside Estates, said Rob’s experience at hotels across the country would be an invaluable asset to the Hardwick Hall Hotel as it moves forward.
“We are keen to build on our reputation as a first class wedding, conference and leisure venue,” he said, “and I have every confidence that Rob is the right person to help us achieve that.”
