Held on Wednesday 8 June the 2016 North and East Yorkshire Building Excellence Awards were presented at the Royal York Hotel in York, with attendance over 230 this year.
The evening was hosted by televisions Charlie Luxton, an architectural designer and television presenter of shows including ‘Build a New Life in the Country’, ‘Britain’s Hidden Heritage’ and most recently ‘Homes by the Sea’. In his presentation Charlie spoke eloquently and passionately about the benefits of good design and sustainability on all building types.
Following the three course meal the presentation of awards was held, with the following winning schemes being announced:
