The North of England dominated the CIM Marketing Excellence Awards held in London on 27 April.  A total of six wins were clocked up for the North out of 21 that were presented at the prestigious event.

The evening started with a combined team from Leeds Beckett University and Nottingham Trent University being crowned the 2017 Marketers of the Future with their winning Pitch in the CIM’s student competition.  This was swiftly followed by University of Hull winning the Student Engagement Award for the second year running.  Leeds based businesses Greenflag and Harris Creative won Best Brand Building Campaign (Large) and Marketing Campaign of the Year (SME) respectively.  Best Use of Social Media went to Salford University and Manchester based Tunafish Media and Baxi, from Preston, won Marketing Team of the Year.

Diane Earles, Network Manager for CIM in the North of England, said “This is great news and shows the strength of the Northern Powerhouse.”
