Businesses are invited to attend a CIM event hosted at The Business Clinic at Northumbria University on 14 June, showcasing North East talent.

Diane Earles, Network Manager for CIM, said, “To introduce the brand new home for The Business Clinic at Northumbria University, we will be presenting two case studies: Special iApps and Parker.  The presentations will show how partnerships have developed between the Business Clinic and their clients, how the students have progressed and how talent has been retained in the region.”

The speakers will include Beverley Dean and Les Graham.  Beverley founded Special iApps, a not-for-profit social enterprise which makes apps to help children with learning disabilities, in 2011.  Business Clinic students have helped grow the SME to what it is today through a number of projects.  Les Graham recently secured a job with Parker, who he conducted a consultancy project for through the Business Clinic in 2015.  Parker is the global leader in motion and control technologies, providing precision engineered solutions for Aerospace, Climate Control, Electromechanical and Filtration.

The event, sponsored by NRG, is titled ‘Nurturing North East Talent’ and is open to CIM members and non-members.
