Redcar solicitor gains prestigious accreditation

Cygnet Law solicitor receives prestigious Children Law Accreditation.

The Redcar-based firm is a leading provider of legal services for children and families. The Children Law Accreditation provides a recognised quality standard for practitioners representing children in children law proceedings and is a means to identify suitably qualified practitioners when representation of a child is required.

Eleanor Barber joined Cygnet in 2012 and qualified as a solicitor in 2015. Eleanor progressed her career as an advocate, regularly appearing in court advising and advocating on complex cases for local authorities and families. The accreditation now means that she can expand this knowledge to representing children.

Peter Medd, a director and solicitor at Cygnet Law, said: “Eleanor is an experienced solicitor, who brings empathy and formidable advocacy to her cases in spades. Receipt of the Children Law Accreditation means she is now able to provide a holistic family-offer, meeting the needs of those with a range of legal needs.”

Eleanor Barber, said: “As a passionate advocate for children and families, I am delighted to receive this accreditation. I am wholly committed to delivering the best possible outcomes for all my clients and this accreditation expands the scope and veracity of what I’m able to offer them.”
