On September 24th 2017, Rockliffe Hall is hosting an exclusive Garden Party in the resort’s beautiful grounds to raise money for two charities, Headway and Brain Tumour Research, in memory of Middlesbrough magician, Paul Daniels, who died last year, a month after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.

The event will feature a performance by the North East’s very own ‘Kylie of Opera’, Annette Wardell. Supporting entertainment will include the Northern Doctors Chorus and many more. Guests will also be able to purchase posh Afternoon Tea hampers, with a personal butler service; there’ll be fabulous food, craft ale, gin and champagne pop up stalls, and it’s hoped more money will be raised through a raffle and silent auction.

There’s a range of packages available to this family-friendly event with VIP tickets including entry to Rockliffe Hall’s new ‘Mischmasch’ Alice in Wonderland themed parkland, and an after party in the Rockliffe Suite featuring private performances from the star guests.

Date and time: 12 noon until 6pm, Sunday 24th September 2017.

About Brain Tumour Research – www.braintumourresearch.org

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer – yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. Brain Tumour Research aims to build a network of experts in sustainable brain tumour research and ultimately find a cure for brain tumours. The charity is striving to fund seven dedicated research centres whilst challenging the government and larger cancer charities to invest more in brain tumour research.

About Headway – www.headway.org.uk

Headway is the UK-wide charity that works to improve life after brain injury. Though its network of more than 125 groups and branches across the country, it provides support, services and information to brain injury survivors, their families and carers, as well as to professionals in the health and legal fields.

Eamonn Elliott, Chief Executive of Rockliffe Hall, says: “We’ve been keen to hold an outside music event at Rockliffe Hall for quite some time and I’m delighted that our first musical garden party is going to be raising money for two fantastic causes, Headway and Brain Tumour Research, and with some top class acts. It’s going to be a fabulous occasion and will also be a great opportunity to introduce our guests, both young and old, to our exciting new Mischmasch magical wonderland.”

Annette Wardell says: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be returning to my wonderful North East home in September to perform at this fabulous event and in such decadent surroundings as Rockliffe Hall. Paul Daniels was a great friend, and his wife Debbie and I remain very close. It will be an absolute privilege to perform at this event, in Paul’s memory and to raise money for such worthwhile causes.”
