RESIDENTS across Stockton-on-Tees Borough are reminded the Council’s kerbside green waste collections are due to end until next spring.
Final collections for the year will take place from week commencing Monday 5 October for red customers and the week commencing Monday 12 October for blue customers.
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Care for your Area team will continue to collect blue bags, boxes and white bags throughout the year.
Residents who wish to dispose of any green waste after the kerbside collections have finished can take it to the Household Waste Recycling Facility at Haverton Hill.
Opening hours are 8am to 7pm until 31 October and 8am to 6pm from 1 November to 31 March.
Stockton Council’s Cabinet Member for the Environment, Councillor Mike Smith, said: “The green waste collections are hugely popular with residents and we welcome their commitment to recycling. These final collections are a good opportunity for people to make the most of this convenient recycling service and clear their gardens of any green waste.”
