SRC001Stockton Rugby Club under 16s have received a brand new playing kit for the upcoming season thanks to securing sponsorship from UK housing provider and community regeneration specialist, Keepmoat.

Keepmoat has provided more than £500 to fund 22 new shirts for the club, based at The Grangefield Ground in Stockton-On-Tees.

The firm previously sponsored the team at under 9s level in 2010 – since then the squad has gone on to be the club’s most successful side for three consecutive years.

Feats include a season record of 16/19 wins, scoring 650 points and conceding only 120; along with being crowned Durham County plate winners for two successive years from under 14’s level and winning the Darlington Rugby U15 tournament in 2016..

Club Chairman, Graham Newton said: “The club are delighted to receive the continued support of Keepmoat. The new shirts will ensure that an already successful team look the part when they take the field this season.”

Empowering local sport isn’t the only investment Keepmoat is making in regenerating the Stockton community, with the club based approximately two and a half miles from its Norton Park housing development.

The site will house a total of 174 new two and three bedroom detached, semi-detached and terraced homes, making them ideal for first time buyers and families looking for extra space.

Ian Prescott, Land and Partnerships Director for Keepmoat North East said: “Sponsorships like this is all part of Keepmoat’s wider commitment to transforming lives in the areas in which we build in.

“We take great pride in bringing communities together during the time we spend there, and the sponsorship was an ideal opportunity to celebrate the positive ground being made with Norton Park.

“The new kits look brilliant and we wish the club continued success for the upcoming season.”
