Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Still Time to Enjoy Stockton Sparkles

EVERYONE in Stockton Town Centre will enjoy an array of Christmas treats on Saturday (23 December).

The Stockton Sparkles festival comes to an end this weekend but there is still plenty going on before then.

The High Street will be filled with seasonal carols and music from the Salvation Army orchestra while shoppers browse all things festive at the traditional market.  Frozen characters, Anna and Elsa, will invite customers to take part in a Christmas Market trail with prizes to collect at a gazebo hosted by Stockton’s very own Daisy Duck where free Christmas biscuits and mince pies will be offered to shoppers.

Meanwhile, face painters will entertain younger visitors and the Mayor of Stockton-on-Tees, Councillor Maurice Perry will judge a competition for the best dressed market stall.

Mayor of Stockton-on-Tees, Councillor Maurice Perry, said: “There is certain to be a magical Christmas atmosphere in Stockton and lots for visitors and shoppers of all ages to enjoy.

“I can’t wait to see the market stalls specially arranged and decorated for Christmas, I’m sure choosing a winner for the competition is going to be tough!

“And don’t forget, with Christmas just around the corner you will be able to find all you need for the final preparations, from vegetables for the Christmas dinner to last minute gifts too.”
