Popular actor and singer, Darren Day, is joining X-Factor finalist and I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here contestant, Jake Quickenden, for the annual Divas and Diamonds ball on Saturday October 10.
And organisers are warning that only a handful of tickets remain for the glamorous event at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead.
“Divas and Diamonds is not only a fun night out but a great way of supporting some really important local causes,” said Lynn Waterman, chair of the event committee.
“Tickets have been selling really quickly for this year’s event and it looks like it’s going to be bigger and better than ever before.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to have Darren and Jake on board and we can’t wait to see what they have in store.”
Divas and Diamonds, set up by a group of North East business women in 2010, is a ladies-only event designed to raise money for a variety of regional charities, while also offering attendees the chance to indulge in an evening of fine food, entertainment and shopping.
This year’s nominated charity is Cash for Kids, which helps children across the region who are disabled, disadvantaged or suffering from abuse or neglect.
Along with the performances from Darren Day and Jake Quickenden, the evening will include a three course meal, drinks reception and the chance for guests to shop at a number of stalls.
There will also be a best dressed competition, with the leading lady winning a makeover and photoshoot with Tyne Tees Models.
Tickets for Divas and Diamonds, priced at £65 each or £700 for a table of 12, can be booked by emailing email@example.com. More information is also available atwww.divasanddiamondsnewcastle.co.uk.
