Tilly Bailey & Irvine enjoyed another wonderful turnout for the firm’s annual Charity Afternoon Tea at the Hardwicke Hall Manor Hotel in County Durham, our firm of Solicitors raising £4,500 for the Alice House Hospice.

After raising almost £5,000 for the Hartlepool-based Hospice last year, it was another successful event under beautiful summer skies at the picturesque setting.

Almost 100 guests were in attendance for the event, now a firm part of TBI’s and the Hospice’s diaries, where they were also treated to a fashion show after the main meal which was supported by Helen Laverick of Eden Boutique.

Additional funds were raised by a raffle organised by staff of Barclays – who matched the money raised from it – and numerous stalls, with the final amount tipping the £4,500 mark.

TBI’s Managing Partner Carolyn Tilly was in attendance along with fellow staff members, the firm giving back to its guests with goodie bags to take away on the conclusion of another highly successful event.

Carolyn Tilly said: “The annual Afternoon Tea is an event we are always proud to support, as the local Hospices across the North East offer so much and so often do not receive enough in return for all their hard work.

“To know we are making a difference is something close to our hearts, as our job roles are primarily focused on helping individuals in their lives. We couldn’t have had better weather for it, which just capped off what has been another wonderful running of an event we will look forward to being a part of again next year.”

Carol Sennett, Corporate Fundraiser at Alice House, added: “We are delighted to have collaborated with TBI on another fantastic event; the ongoing support from Carolyn and her team is very much appreciated and helps to ensure the ongoing availability of Hospice care in our area.

“Thanks also to all of our guests, stallholders, Barclays staff, Helen from Eden and the volunteer models and of course Mark and the staff at Hardwicke Manor who always look after us. We were so pleased to welcome another packed room and hope to see everyone again in 2020.”
