Tyneside’s leading Mexican restaurant is treating all ‘madres’ this Sunday – with bottomless brunch and fizz.
To celebrate Mothering Sunday (31 March), El Paso, at Osborne Road, Jesmond, is serving authentic stuffed tacos and Mexican sides – along with unlimited Spanish cava – from 12 noon onwards.
Taco fillings include mildly spiced puy lentils with feta cheese, lime and tequila-flavoured chicken, tiger prawns with satay and cajun-spiced calamari with garlic mayonnaise and rosemary chimichurri.
And sides include simple fries, a Mexican slaw, drunken beans and chipotle rice.
“Brunch is the perfect mother’s day option,” said manager Nick Tomlinson. “Mums can have a leisurely lie-in, then head to us for superb food and plenty of fizz before either a bracing walk through nearby Jesmond Dene – or a snooze on the sofa.”
The 100-cover restaurant is owned by Newcastle-based Malhotra Group plc and also has a private dining area, which can be hired for parties and celebrations.
Bottomless brunch is priced at £19.95 per person and must be booked in advance. For more information, or to book, call 0191 240 7777, message El Paso on Facebook @elpasojesmond or visit www.elpasojesmond.co.uk.
