TECHNOLOGY Services Group (TSG) has won its sixth consecutive UK small business partner of the year award at a major IT security conference held in Cannes.
The annual EMEA Sophos Discover Partner Conference celebrates the successes of Sophos partners throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa and helps them take advantage of the latest business opportunities within the fast-moving IT security marketplace.
TSG, whose headquarters are in Gosforth, won its award for its outstanding performance in the past year and its commitment and dedication to Sophos security.
Chief technology officer at TSG Paul Burns said: “This is great news for TSG and goes to show how all the hard work put in by everyone to make sure they are experts in their field and help us to stand out in yet another key area of technology pays off.”
Paul said the company’s commitment to training staff to be as skilled and knowledgeable as possible meant its Sophos qualified team of specialists stood at 46 architects and engineers, compared with an average of around eight among other Sophos partners.
Sophos is a global leader in network and endpoint security with more than 100 million users in 150 countries relying on its solutions to protect against complex threats and data loss. TSG is one of only two of its Platinum Partners in the UK.
Senior managers were able to meet with other large partners from around the world and have a one to one meeting with Sophos CEO Kris Hagerman to discuss a wide range of security topics and strategy.
Paul added: “Having a one to one conversation at CEO level gives us the perfect platform to represent our customers directly in front of Sophos and feed back our experience to them.”
