The stadium, home to Newcastle United Football Club, is holding its first ever Good Deed of the Year awards and now the hunt is on to find the city’s unsung community heroes.
Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events, which manages conferencing and events at St James’ Park, wants to hear about any business employee who goes an extra mile to help those around them.
And the person judged to be the most outstanding corporate community champion will be treated to an all-expenses paid Christmas party night for them and up to 10 of their colleagues.
Samantha Doyle, sales and marketing manager for Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events at the stadium, said: “These awards are about rooting out those unsung business heroes who work tirelessly to make Newcastle a better place to live, work and visit.
“Heroes come in all shapes and sizes and whether they climb mountains in aid of charity, sponsor local youth teams or look after elderly neighbours, we want to hear about them.
“These people often fly under the radar and never receive the praise that they so deserve, and the aim of this scheme is to find them and thank them for the hard work they do by treating them to a fantastic Christmas party.”
The winner of the Good Deed of the Year Award and their guests will be treated to a three-course festive feast at the stadium, beginning with arrival drinks and including party novelties an evening of entertainment.
