Unwritten Creative targets growth with appointment of commercial manager

The recruitment of Dean Hughes, 24 from Gateshead, follows two other recent senior appointments, which takes the business’ team to ten.

In his newly-created role Dean will focus on generating new business for the company, which has enjoyed strong growth since it was founded three years ago where it has secured high calibre clients including VisitEngland, Sage, North Tyneside Council, Bel Valves and the NewcastleGateshead Initiative.

Dean joins Unwritten Creative from North East-based digital business publisher, Bdaily, where, as Regional Sales Manager, he was tasked with establishing the brand and securing new business in the North West of England.

His first business development role was with start-up business Northern Print Solutions in Gateshead. As part of the founding team, Dean helped the business achieve a turnover of around £1m within two and a half years and building a workforce of 16.

Dean continued his career in the print industry joining Shiremoor Press as Business Development Manager before joining bdaily at the start of 2016.

He said: “I have been impressed by the level of ambition shown at Unwritten Creative and its innovative approach to developing and implementing brand strategies. I enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and look forward to being part of its innovative team.”

This period of growth has enabled us to appoint some talented individuals such as Dean. His skills and experience will help build new client relationships and maintain the development of Unwritten Creative.”
